Ruth Pearl
Home is where the anchor drops
We are Nathan & Lindsey, live-aboards on motor vessel Ruth Pearl. We are on a mission to cast off the world’s perception of success and in turn find true fulfillment centered in what is REALLY important in life. This voyage starts now, and we pray it takes us around the world to find peace and real happiness centered in life experience and relationship. We are diligently working to learn together while we share this massive life change with anyone who wants to tag along on our YouTube The 71 Percent. These chronicles have become a passion and we are in hopes that documenting this journey can grow into our new carriers. The lines are cast and our eyes are on the horizon. Awesome couple days hanging out in this charming little town… but we gotta go! Weather window to grab to send it to the big apple! Lego!
Well that was interesting…. 30knot winds against and outgoing river current. We were burying the nose into waves taking tons of running water down the decks… wowzers Good times! Made it safe and sound to Ocracoke where the little protected harbor is awesome!
After a few days of cleaning the boat, waiting for Amazon packages and meeting up with some Sea People legends!! @logan 🙌🏼 @Caroline it’s time to continue our adventures! Headed North! Lego! Happy 4th Everyone!
Unplanned stop right off the beach at No Name … trip in to Big O’s was pretty cool. We are SUPER excited to explore Green Turtle for the first time!
lol, as the title says a couple beautiful hours to No Name Cay 😂 We were planning to head to Green Turtle but Lindsey wanted a super chill day so we found an anchorage outside No Name Cay for the afternoon / evening. As we journey north I’m starting to get a little sad with each leg as the reality of being back in the states sets in. I don’t want to go back there. Lindsey however is excited because she wants to stock back up on quality food again and health products that we are out of. I’m sure it will be fun.
We spent three nights at Conch Inn Marina which was awesome, can’t say enough about the staff there. Great facility and super helpful people. They let us borrow their Kubota to go to the grocery store and really just went out of their way for us. Highly recommend if you are in the area. Only a couple hour cruise over to Guana before heading to Green Turtle tomorrow. Engine room check midway showed no leaks and everything running flawlessly. Quartering seas challenged my new auto pilot settings as well and it did pretty good. We will see how it does in bigger stuff on our upcoming passage.
Need to change the oil on the mains and the gen before our crossing back to the states so the hardware stores and boat stores in marsh Harbor came in very handy
Meeting new friends!!!
What a party… if we drank it would have been an even bigger one lol!
This is an interesting island. Very much a working island. They figured out how to keep the tourists away by not serving alcohol. Lol
Ok this spot is cool. Very much enjoyed the history and the little town.
For sure was ready to leave Harbour Island.. it’s nice but was ready to move! Lindsey loved it.
We had been told so much about this place. I can’t say it disappointed but I also can’t say I need to go back.
Spanish is a cool little town, very clean and also incredible people. If you are into fishing this is the spot!
Nice anchorage here.. if I’m in the area again we will likely stay longer
So far I wanna go back to Exuma lol
Beautiful sail across to Rock Sound
Last stop before leaving Exuma.. We are sad … even though we don’t look it :)
What an awesome week in the Staniel area! Love that place. Our Journey north to Highborne to cross to Eleuthera continues
As we begin our journey back north the knowledge of our time ending here is becoming far too real. Soaking up a final stop in Staniel Cay was amazing!
If you draft less than 5ft and can get in this anchorage highly recommend it. Super awesome!
Longest time in one spot yet! 10 full days in Georgetown soaking up the cruising lifestyle. Met some AMAZING people and had an absolute blast! Time to get back on the move though! Images for memories .. headed Northwest now!
We have anchored at Rudder twice now but this third time we took time to explore. What an amazing spot!
Awesome time in Georgetown but the adventure continues. Exuma explorations continued!
Amazing 10 day trip with Mom & Dad!! So sad to see them go but many adventures to come! Sharing moments like these with your loved ones is as irreplaceable as it gets!
Irreplaceable moments with Mom and Dad. Massive dream come true
❤️
This time with our parents is so dang special
Mom and Dad flew into Georgetown, after waiting out a couple day blow it’s time to start 6 days of Exuma exploring!
Mom and Dad flying in for a week… gotta go get them.
Had to jump to Staniel because we ran out of gas lol! Works out because Mom and Dad called and said… “We are flying to Georgetown this week!” YAY! Let’s go to Georgetown and get them. LEGO
What a beautiful spot! Anchored just south of “the aquarium” beautiful sandbar, cool crashed plane to dive on, great protection from Eastern and southern winds. Really enjoyed our time here.
Well after two of the most amazing days ever with new friends…we needed to get back on our schedule… we actually don’t have a schedule but we missed some things so back north we go to check out a few things we passed following the famous YouTubers
Sitting in an anchorage in Shroud.. hear over the radio… this is WeSail. Umm.. they are in New Zealand.. no way it’s them..we have to ask. Nathan: Is this THE WeSail? Warren: It is, Erica is standing right next to me Nathan: Holy crap! I feel like I’m talking to Tom Cruise Warren: Why don’t you guys join our flotilla? Nathan: What? Umm let me think about it.. HELL YES! Spent the next two days with Lauren Landers, Warren and Erica Cook and some amazing people! Surreal, insane, blessed! Incredible people!!! @Laurenlanders @WEsail
Norman’s was BA, Shroud for some mangrove tender cruising incoming! This whole thing is mind blowing.
This is surreal. Dreams can come true everyone.. goals are achievable
Loved the stop in Nassau to get some needed supplies but couldn’t get out of there fast enough to head to Exuma! First stop Highbourne Cay! We will be waiting out a strong northern wind here.
Quick one day stop in Nassau to provision for some fresh groceries and a couple boat parts. In and out as quick as possible. Next stop.. EXUMA! 🥳
This anchorage behind Hoffman’s is awesome. Hike to a blue hole and jump in (rattled our cages) stellar blue water and beautiful beaches!
Is it called a crossing when it’s only one day? I don’t know… maybe a voyage? 🫣 Across the Great Bahama Bank from Bimini to anchor outside of Great Harbour. Checking into the marina in the morning to spend a couple days waiting out weather. Amazing crossing.. errr voyage.. trip 😂
This is a MASSIVE thing for us. I have been preparing and dreaming about cruising the Bahamas for years! Watching Sailing La Vagabonde and others to learn and dream of this day!
Boat work done, ready for the Bahamas, we wait for a weather window so headed to Trawler Fest Ft Lauderdale
Nordhavn East was incredibly accommodating. A month worth of boat work happened in a week thanks to them! (The speed is not correct lol!)
Last passage (this isn’t really a passage it’s an ICW cruise) with my parents
lol spent an hour waiting for the tide to come in…oops! Captains mistake.
So excited to have my parents join us on our new tiny home! We offered them the master but they refreshed and insisted they sleep in the bunk room. So be it :) Beautiful anchorage in Daytona Beach Florida
Sorry guys but I gotta get caught up on travels so I’m gonna be posting a lot today as we cruise.
Headed south with Ruth Pearl.
Stayed a day in Savannah visiting and enjoying the town, what a great place! Onward south though.. stayed at our very first anchorage. Loveddd it!
Day 2 of our journey south into Florida.. but first a couple days in Savannah. This city is SO amazing. Might be my favorite spot in the US… maybe New boat reveal is this week on the tubes… sorry for blurring it out but it’s a big unveiling for us. Much love SeaPeople fam.
Lindsey and I setting sail on our new adventure. This is the first leg of a multi month trip as we try out full time live aboard travel life. Hope YouTube starts paying the big bucks lol!!!
