Naval architect, model maker, and son of a son of a sailor. Spent a year cruising the Bahamas with my family as a teenager, now doing it again at 24 on the (minimally) refitted Idlewild. After this year of sailing my own boat, I will be looking for opportunities to crew on other people's boats! Just trying to see as much of the world as I can before things get worse. Have also sailed and cooked on historic schooners, raced on an F33R trimaran, and built several model boats. Talk to me about making a ship-in-a-bottle model of your boat!

Slow broad reach became 7 knot blitz

Sailed past Half Moon Bay and its resort under sheet to tiller gear, then wind increased a lot as I rounded the disneyfied south tip of Eleuthera. Took in a double reef and blasted north, going a consistent 7 knots occasionally. Got the plum creek anchorage to myself

Upon arriving at Orange Creek, the Anchorage was completely unprotected and the swell was awful. But in a couple hours the wind swung around to the north and it settled down completely
