Garden Bay Lake in Pender Harbour BC — we took the dinghy to the John Henry fuel dock in Hospital Bay to tie off. From there the four of us walked about a mile and a half to Garden Bay Lake. The boys fished and swam with @shanedonogh. The lake is the town’s drinking water - beautiful, clear fresh water! People were paddle boarding and kayaking on the lake while we were there. We stopped near a bench by the side of the road. Thanks to Robin from the Madeira Park pumpout for the tip!
Excellent day to cross Georgia Strait
Pretty chill motoring with a brief delay at customs waiting for room at the dock. Didn’t want to deal with shallow Pirates cove entrance in the morning so found a spot on the other side, hopefully it’s not too exposed for tonight’s weather.
Easy peasy cruise with the current to Echo Bay.
Been wanting to take the fam here forever and today was the perfect day. Lost count of the different types of wildflowers I saw.
Was going to go to Waldron, but there was a spot on the South side of Jones, and we’d never put the boat there before, so we snagged a buoy. Surprisingly few boats out… yet.
Cruised to Watmough Bay, with a stop at Smith Island to look for Puffins. No Puffins, just lots of Rhinoceros Auklets and Porpoises.
