Day 15 - Meraviglia to the Marquesas! Well this has been a very windy 24 hours and the forecast looks for it to stay that way for another 24! We definitely had our share of squalls during the day and over night so our foulies are getting some wear! We have hit the two week mark for the passage and honestly it doesn’t feel like it has been that long. Bob just ran sail routing on our Predict Wind app and it is saying 16 more days to destination, all sailing - so we hope that is true! It can definitely change based on a lot of factors, especially weather, but good to know we are pretty much on track! Day 15 moving average speed: 5.5 knots Trip top speed: 13.5 knots Total NM for this 24 hours: 175 Total Nautical Miles still to go: 2242 Number of dolphins seen: 0 Bird visitors: We had a very musical bird flying next to the boat around 2 am when we switched watch! It was too dark to really see it but you could definitely hear it! Number of things that broke: 0 Number of times Bob swore: I know there was some, but neither of us can remember why 😂😂😂

Day 3- Meraviglia to the Marquesas! It has been calm conditions and a lovely morning today! 😊 Our stats for yesterday: Day 3 moving average speed: 5.7 knots Trip top speed: 13.5 knots Total NM for this 24 hours: 136 Total Nautical Miles still to go: 3811 (this number didn’t change much due to some course adjustments but more to come so will likely change again!) Number of dolphins seen: a pod! Flying fish on deck 0 Bird visitors 2 Number of things that broke: Nothing and Bob fixed our whisker pole so win win! Number of times Bob swore: 0

Day 9– Meraviglia to the Marquesas! We continued our journey south in search of the elusive but magical trade winds 💨 Overall it was a pleasant day- we were able to use the grill for dinner since we had just calm sea state and got to do our NYT crossword and do a bit of reading. And we did hit our 5000 nautical miles sailed mark!! Woo hoo 🎉 We also have passed 1000 miles for this passage! Plus dolphins 🐬🐬🐬 Day 7 moving average speed: 5.1 knots Trip top speed: 13.5 knots

Great passage from Aruba to Shelter Bay Marina to await transiting the canal in early December! Smooth downwind sailing, calm seas, bright moonlight, and lots of visits from birds made the trip fun!
