We’ve had a blast here in Georgetown for the Cruiser’s Regatta. I lost my phone at Chat n Chill after the poker run, and it’s still MIA 😅 I have a feeling it’s long gone, but if anyone finds it let me know. On another note, we are searching for a delivery captain that can help get our boat from Georgetown, Bahamas to St Martin. We are capable of the journey ourselves, but we have some work conflicts that are butting their way into our cruising season, so we’re thinking this might be a good solution. Send me a message if you have any trustworthy captain recommendations!

Nice easy motor, had the jib out for a moment but that didn’t last long. Easy refuel at Emerald and now we’re on the ball and ready to get a nice meal :)

Yesterday’s motor sail from Black Point to Rat Cay was beautiful and calm. Had a spectacular view last night! ✨ Heading to Georgetown today for the start of the Cruising Regatta festivities!

Wanted to share the schedule of events and such that I just saw on FB for the Georgetown Cruising Regatta. I’ve never been south of Black Point so I’m excited to see what this is all about! 🎉

Ahhh this is nice. We’re on for 6pm tonight for the Super Bowl - I have like 12 places to sit outside to watch the game, and maybe like 4-5 seats inside 🏈 we’re making some food to share, feel free to bring a dish, and BYOB. Friendly note: we have some serious game watchers coming who would like to focus on the game and hear every word haha, so if you’d like to come by and chat we might be a little distracted 😅

Let’s Talk Super Bowl 🏈 Hey y’all! I’ve got a huge Eagles fan on board and we’re curious where the best place to watch the game will be. Any Super Bowl parties? I know the YCA floatchella is the day after the game..but we might be further south at Farmers for the 5F festival 🤷🏼‍♀️ I figured I put out my feelers to weigh our options and see where we REALLY want to be 👀

While fueling up, one of the locals at Highbourne was like “you should try the east side of shroud, right infront of the washout” and I’ve seen people anchor over here, but never did it myself. So, we took a chance and WOW, I’m glad we did! There are at least 20 boats on the west side huddled together, and we’re the ONLY boat over on this side. Time to put on the birthday suits with this level of privacy 🍑 Today we’ll dinghy over to a very special place…that I always hesitate to share because it’s so good…I don’t want to over share, and spoil it’s awesomeness…such a tough choice 😅 What do you do when you found an amazing place (not advertised anywhere on active captain, no foreign land, etc) and want to share it with people…but also want to keep it a secret and tell no one?! To share or not to share…such a silly dilemma!

Beautiful sail through the coral heads of the yellow bank 🪸 we anchored at Allen’s Cay to see some hungry iguanas and take a rest. At some point in the next few days we’ll fuel up at Highbourne and continue into the Exumas Land and Sea park! Life is good.

That was champagne sailing at its finest! I shall be petting an adorable piggie at Meeks Patch soon 🐷

Made it the Bahamas! 🇧🇸 (it only took us 9 hours, not 6 days haha) checked in at Old Bahama Bay marina & received 90 days - in case you’re wondering. This will be my 3rd season cruising here, and Joe’s 1st! 👏🏻 We’re already off for a 24 hour sail to Spanish Wells, Eleuthera. All of our hard work leading up to this moment was worth it! It’s beautiful out here ☀️

Whew! That was more of a motor than a sail, but we made it to blue water! We would’ve loved to go straight to the Bahamas, but we have some final errands to run here before we leave the states. My parents are coming down to meet us and see us off before we cross too, so that will be lovely! Woohoooo!! We watched the Starlink rocket take off, saw so much wildlife, and had a fabulous time but we sure are glad to be still for a few days.

First offshore passage since June 2023. Felt a little rusty but had a marvelous sail. Big, following waves made for a lively trip! Coming into Hilton Head at Port Royal Sound with 30 knots and waves on the beam was extreme, but our girl was solid. Let’s go see some low county!

Motor sailed from New Bern to Beaufort, NC. Weather doesn’t look good for offshore tomorrow, so we’ll continue on the ICW. Every couple towns I do a temperature check. Get me out of the 50°s!

Long Shoal River to Oriental, NC It was blowing so nicely today! 🌬️ We were able to sail wing on wing down the Pamlico with 30 knot gusts and following seas. Perfect day of sailing ⛵️ We’ll be in Oriental for about a week, until we continue south.

Left Herring Bay at 7am, came into Norfolk just before first light, hit the ICW right at sunrise 🌅 time to take a nap!

Nice beam reach and downwind sail. We were gunna go to the Solomons, but we forgot there’s an Eagles game to watch starting now! So, we pulled in early to chill and watch the game! GO BIRDS
