Days of beating turned to fast reaching and running. Suspect vessels without AIS heightened nerves by night off the Nicaraguan coast 🏴☠️ Lit the braai as soon as the sea state allowed 🔥 Picked up some friendly feathered hitchhikers. Cooled off with halyard swinging on the final day in 2000m of water.
Dinghy ride into the jungle. Abundance of fantastic wildlife. Particularly high water level due to Sara's rainfall let us progress more than 10 miles inland before the trees became too dense. Motored up before drifting and paddling down with up to 3knots of current, listening to howler monkeys and birdlife. More on www.sam-peek.com
Return to Belize after Storm Sara fizzled out. Unintentionally confirmed the location of a wreck with the keel. Shared a sheltered anchorage and a fish curry with SV Tońa 🧅
Argonauty the tender secured their pilots licence. 36+ knots of breeze. Radar reflector called it quits and jumped overboard.
