Man! Our SeaPeople family is the best🤍 just waking up from an epic night at the CruiserAwards, and I can certainly feel it- but worth every drop of ginT that's making my head spin this morning 🫶🏽 And it's not all over yet... 😉

Life lately🩵 It's weird sitting still, being close to land and ameneties, but most of all missing a big part of our SeaPeople family❣️Come by Sag Harbor, if you're due north this summer🥂
Grandparents (Cody's parents) visiting the Hamptons! It's been no sailing, but plenty of family time lately... also boat projects, work, play, dinghy rides (teaching grandma in video) and food. Hopefully time will allow for some more frequent updates soooon😅❣️
Almost too calm, as lulls force us to motor, and we stay close to land to dodge whatever storm's lurking up north... So we decide to do the inside and go through NYC, but after a pit stop fueling up in Atlantic City, we turn around with a bad feeling. An ominous haze, and sudden temperature drop suggests a weather pattern no one has been able to predict, and with Millie on board our focus is now always safe, not sorry. We're safely anchored in the creek here, waiting for whatever or nothing to pass, before our last leg of the season. BUT, it's at least been eventful, with both flies, dolphins and what we actually might believe is ORCAS😳 (other footage might confirm later)
Hoping to make NY by Wednesday! It's a "swelly" start to a soon to be no wind day, but engine fix by @dave seems to be working great so far🤞🏼🙌🏼❣️and crew is motivated to make it to our summer home... with a newly bejeweled finger 💍😁 Peace out, Wrightsville!!✌🏼❤️
Sooo just cause I feel like I'm now invested in keeping people posted- engine IS currently running. Probably some air due to a leak in the system- which is now bypassed. We trust nothing though, so send good vibes so we can make Carolina Beach before @Cody leaves for another delivery at 2am tomorrow morning😳😴 (he's currently napping after an all nighter in the engine room💪🏽).
After all those awesome drone shots at sunset, we thought we were going in the right direction, before wind died again and engine shortly thereafter 😳 We managed to raise the sails back up just in time for a wind burst, lasting for a little while, all the while trying to figure out where our fuel leak is... engine still not running, but we might have found the leak, and as our friends on @sailingyachtzora handed us supplies across the beams under engine while we were spinnaker sailing (would have been an epic camera moment), we're slightly more optimistic we can actually get her running. Send us love!
Since last update, 6.8 miles ago: Dusted off the ol' spinner for a desperate attempt to save fuel. At least it's colorful and puuurrrrty🌈❣️ Think this is enough updates for a ONE DAY TRIP?? We'll see, friends, we'll see... (First time flying this spinnaker, so it's nice to see it's still in good condition !!)
As we hoped and accounted for the wind to stay a liiiiitle while longer today, it died and we started motoring just outside of Charleston. All of a sudden, a small burst of rpm's- repeatedly, apparently indicated low fuel levels, and we had to refuel, bleed the engine, bleed again, and again... to finally get it started back up. We literally have JUST ENOUGH fuel to get to the inlet 😅🤙🏼 #currentlysailingat4knotstosavedrops Also have our (android) boat buddies behind us with a spare can- just in case🙌🏼
That was rough. Time to send @cody off on another delivery, while me and Millie stay put and order parts for the fuel injection system... ✌🏼 peace out- thank you for the good vibes, we felt them as @dave and @Lauren helped us in to the mooring field on our engines last breath🤙🏼❣️

After a crazy windy day down the ICW and what feels like 28 anchoring attempts, we are finally set in Beaufort, SC. The tracker got a bit confused, and I'm so mentally drained it kinda depicts my minds state, so I didn't even bother to try and fix it. It might as well be how we looked around this area trying to get any kind of holding. Man- it's not often @Cody looooses it... 😆
Will post our track from last night later, cause it was FAST!🤩 Anyway- headed in with friends to anchor and enjoy the fish we all caught underway 😁 Also- we have some android users amongst us, and SeaPeople crashed while we were out of Starlink service (have to wait to reach destination to complete track), hence Navionics update😅🙈🌊
Update since leaving the bank; Fun in the gulf🌊 Gusting to 18, and with the surf we felt a lot better with a reef in the main. Right now, surfing at 10-11, we could have probably used two😅
It's been a slow, but beautiful day so far! As I'm getting ready for a nap, man and child are gearing up for a rocket launch. (Don't worry, life jackets came on right after this😅)
Trying to post the full mileage track😅 Beautiful sailing with lazy days and "racing" nights, making for a great average total from anchorage to anchorage. Only about 3 hours of motor sailing🙌🏼🥂 reward: murky alligator rivers 🐊😟
Honestly just heard the hook drop from bed🤷🏼♀️ Also had a couple of tracking bugs, so the miles went a little overboard...

The day came to start making our way from Hope Town, through some beautiful islands, before heading back to the US using the next big weather window. On the shortest hop to Great Guana, we were gonna have friends join us, it was a beautiful sunrise this morning, that suddenly got interrupted by a mayday call in by Whale Cay. Turns out the sailboat sank, and three people were rescued successfully. The story of how it happened reminded us of how fragile we are on the water- especially in big breaks, swell and days mother nature decides to get some anger out. Stay safe out there, sea people friends ❣️
