Bahamas, Bahamas

Early morning squalls jumbled up the sea state outside the inlet for longer than anticipated, so we had an unpleasant start bucking our way out of No Name Harbor. Once off the shelf in deeper water things started to settle. With all the motion and light winds we couldn’t keep any sails up without flogging them which is especially no bueno when your baby is trying to nap. Reached the bank a little after dark and had a momentary wind shift that allowed full main and code zero at 6.5kn - we were stoked! That is until the wind kept clocking behind us and dropping out. Had to crank the engines back up but with lake-like conditions and a full moon it was quite beautiful. Tons of other boats on AIS taking advantage of the first decent window in ages. Approached Great Harbor Cay at sunrise, dodged a few cruise ships, and yanked into this bay on the east side of Bullocks Harbor that I still don’t know the name of even after my second time here. Rounding Petit Cay I went to pull my fishing line in and the second I grabbed the rod the line started screaming. Insane timing. Landed a pretty solid mutton to cap it all off! Yewwww Bahamas round II with our baby, baby!
