Took advantage of a brief weather window today to scoot from Chub Cay over to Spanish Wells. I say brief because it was sandwiched between strong Southerlies and a looming cold front. The sea state was still pretty messy when we left which made for a very uncomfortable departure, pitching our way out of the channel. But as the winds veered more west everything ended up behind us and we had a really beautiful sail. Landed our first Wahoo while trolling! Not a stud but not a wee-hoo either. So much meat on these things it’s crazy. Total buzzer beater finish, dropping the hook outside Spanish Wells about 15 minutes before the cold front arrived, whipping up some fresh Northerlies and a very appreciated boat wash after our very salty morning.
