Day 22! Sailing to the Bahamas

7am hailing the swing bridge to kickstart the morning. Another 30 degree morning but warmer temps overall today! We had about 15 miles until we were making our way to the beginning of the 20 mile pungo canal. We bumped into Gusto at their anchorage which was right at the mouth of the channel. Relatively straightforward day until we almost collided with a barge. We thought it was a house situated on a cute hill. Nope, it kept getting closer. Good thing we draw 4 ft as we got pushed to the way right side of the channel at 5 feet😂 We did half day on and off skippering. Pete found a slight leak on our cut less baring, which we’re going to likely address once we hit Beaufort. We pushed for belhaven to make tomorrow a more doable day. Anchored right at sunset :) All our boat friends also are nearby; Gusto, Vardo, Neem and Trex is coming in shortly. Hopefully tomorrows winds happen and we can sail🤞
