What a trip, I’m beat. Can’t wait for a hot shower and a good night sleep. We sailed a good amount but we kept getting stuck in pockets of no wind on Wednesday/Thursday and Friday we knew we would be motoring but we decided to continue on ways rather than stopping in Fernandina Beach, luckily the wind picked up that evening but still random hours the wind would drop. Saturday it started to get dicy, the wind picked up and we had random rainstorms in and out but mellowed out as we neared the inlet. Luckily we were able the time the current getting into Fort Pierce around 10pm. Oh yeah and we caught a trap on our prop Saturday afternoon, way to rough to cut it off, we managed with one engine and good wind to get us to anchor. That will be tomorrow’s project along with cleaning up this boat after 4 days off shore 😅
