Meet the Parents (Chris & Stephanie Parent)

Now that I am logged back in after loosing the phone to the ocean....we made it to Kemah march 4th and are still refitting but work is going along and we can't wait to get back into the ocean! The last few days of the Gulf were a blast! We lost both engines and were in 15 plus foot waves and 30 knot winds...unable to turn into anything to get the main up.... sitting ducks! Found out later that an earthquake in Mexico was causing the crazy sea state. But made it to Galveston in one piece. We should be heading out in 4-6 weeks to get past Florida and head up the east coast. So far we have spent a lot of money on Epoch batteries, reupholstering, repairing and rebuilding everything from the fuel system to the sails. And still need to build the solar arch, but soon enough!
