Smooth motoring until Upright Channel, the engine died in a bad spot near Canoe Island, and we had to put up sail fast to get away from the rocks. Luckily there was just enough wind to get us out of the danger zone, but it was a lot closer than I’d like. Once we were in open water, Kelly took the helm so I could figure it out. Turned out to be a simple fuel issue, totally my mistake but we got it running just before dark. Whew!
