Leaving the free dock this morning and had an exciting engine sound and smell we didn’t love as we were approaching the channel. The PCV valve we installed got stuck. We figured it out, and motored down against the current for a bit. Once it turned, we gained 2 knots. On a positive note, we realized our red and green wires due to our port installation was installed backwards for our autopilot. Pete shifted it and now our autopilot actually keeps a heading! As we approached Beaufort, dolphins came up and we are now in the south outer banks in clear warm ish water!! We’ll be here waiting out the winds until we shove off Friday.
