The Slow ROLL North

Made our way North in an absolute washing machine and spent all 10 hours on this DDW run wishing we'd hoisted the dinghy on deck. With every building wave Lima launched forward, punting the big boat, slamming back and at one point she punted the outboard on the rails so hard the outboard prop broke! After hours of rolling, we flew through current cut at 9.2 knots and dropped the hook in what looked like a calm anchorage. We rolled all night long. 🙃😅 And now the dance around Meeks Patch / Spanish Wells begins as the impending storm approaches.
