Doing a little experimenting with weight placement. Brought the EP Carry electric motor plus battery as an emergency backup in case I break an oar or break myself. Didn’t really notice the extra 40 pounds or so once I got up to speed. Also tried a thinner butt pad, that was not good 🤕. Got the best ride with the current from Danger Rocks, a little wide around Turn Rock and straight towards the Harbor. I think I got 8.7 mph at one point 🚀, even thru the choppy wave train stuff.
