Day 21! Sailing to the Bahamas

Chilly 30 degree morning🥶❄️ First ones of our little group to leave around 640am. We had about an hour jump but gusto and vardo quickly met up and eventually overtook us. Most of the mid morning we had nice westerly wind allowing us to put up the sails and gain 5-6 knots. Pretty cold until around 11/noon and we hit our 5th state, North Carolina!! The biggest push of the day was crossing the albemarle sound, which was 14 ish miles. It got windier and the chop was about 3’ and 2 seconds. We reefed the main a hair and had the Genoa 60% and pushed on. We finally caught up to Trex and Neem who were already at anchor when we approached. Now time for chili !!! 🧣
