After 3 months of complete social media detox, we’re finally back to sharing our sailing trips and photos from life at sea. French Polynesia is still spoiling us in every way and this sail, from the south pass of Fakarava to Huahine, was the perfect moment to get the camera back out. It was truly 2,5 days of pure blissful downwind sailing. As we turned the corner around Fakarava and headed west towards Huahine, we set the whisker pole and then basically didn’t touch a sail until we arrived. As easy as it gets! That however, was only until we were about to enter the reef passage to Huahine at night, and our engine wouldn’t start. Think we concluded that our starter battery is in need of a change and as always we’re adding to the to-do list. 🫠 Now we’re safely moored in the south of Huahine, after a beautiful sail inside the reef. There’s some heavy wind gusts being thrown around the island and even heavier ones to come in the next few days. But this was without a doubt one of those trips that makes sailing around the world worth all the work ♥︎
