No sleep till …. Norfolk!!

Super foggy and damp start. Waited 3 hours before departing. Motored slow out of the channel and headed south. Not much wind today. More of a motor fest. Saw a legit pirate ship. Had the sails out half way down and were cruising 6+kts for a bit. As we entered Norfolk naval area we didn’t know to keep our distance from the ships and were confronted a few times by local coast guard. So far the most traffic we have faced. Several tugs, barges, tons of police ripping back and forth, a few jet skis and several cargo ships (freighters) Ended up catching anchor at Hospital Anchorage which was recommended by a few friends and couldn’t have asked for a better end to a long day! The crab balls at “Fish and Slips” helped a bit too, we won’t lie 🤣
