A good day for growing together

We sailed to La Badine for a calm day of practice. Anchoring drills, inflating the dinghy, mounting the engine, just getting familiar with the rhythm of things. Everything went well, but what I’ll remember most is Jojo. As I sat in the dinghy, ready to push off for a test, he jumped in without a second thought. Not out of curiosity, but out of love and fear of being left behind. His little leap said everything. I took the time to reassure him, to settle him into this new space, to show him that I was there and we were in this together. It was a simple day on paper, but a big one in spirit. A moment of growth for both of us. I feel grateful for the sea, for this life, and for Jojo who trusts me completely even when he is unsure 😊
