Warderick Wells Cay, Bahamas

Jul 9, 2025 - Jul 20, 2025

Today was one of the best days we’ve had on our trip. We are on mooring ball 15 here in the Warderick Wells Cay North mooring field. We were able to hook to the mooring ball on the first try. Jaxan was such a great helper with handing me the lines when I was hooking it with a pole and then through the shackle I fed the lines and we each tied them off to the bow cleats. Within 30 minutes, a nurse shark and baby shark was hanging around the boat when Jaxan and Charley were by themselves. We had taken our dinghy to the park to pay our mooring fees and we heard Jaxan saying , “Mom, Dad, shark shark” and he started filming on my phone. We heard him where we were 200 yards away. We also painted the piece of driftwood and wrote our vessel name on it to leave at boo-boo Hills, which is a tradition for boaters. We also snorkeled a little, played in the sand and had an incredible dinner of lobster, Spanish rice and lobster bisque. Dessert was homemade vanilla icecream thanks to our Ninja Creami. After sunset, the Nurse shark and its baby came by to swim around again. We are waking up early before the sunrise tomorrow to hike on the trail to boo-boo Hill. Thankful for today 🙏
