Day sail around Sombrero Reef

Distance: 19nm Winds: 10 to 15 kt Waves: 1-2 ft Great day sail around Sombrero Reef. Stopped by the mooring balls at the lighthouse for some free diving practice. Was greeted by a sea turtle as we arrived just before the fog rolled in. Visibility was still good without the full sun and saw a lot of great fish. Dropped the mooring after lunch to go troll sail for some tuna out in deeper water. Found a nice plankton/ weed line around 280 ft of water and set some lines. Got on some but only managed 2 small Bonito before heading back to the harbor. Great day in the keys! #yooperssailingsouth
