We had plans on stopping at Turks and Caicos along the way, but the wind and weather were excellent so we decided to push onto to DR. We chose to go to the marina called Ocean World Marina to check in. Once we were there we found some good people to help us with boat projects and ended up staying for about a week. A word of caution…99% of people we met were kind, helpful, and sincere..but there is that 1% looking to take advantage of you as a tourist. Just be aware and speak to the other cruisers at the marina before having anyone do major work on your boat there.

We’ve had a blast here in Georgetown for the Cruiser’s Regatta. I lost my phone at Chat n Chill after the poker run, and it’s still MIA 😅 I have a feeling it’s long gone, but if anyone finds it let me know. On another note, we are searching for a delivery captain that can help get our boat from Georgetown, Bahamas to St Martin. We are capable of the journey ourselves, but we have some work conflicts that are butting their way into our cruising season, so we’re thinking this might be a good solution.
