We took our sailing intern sailing for the first time and dusted our poor dirty sails out. We did upwind, downwind, tacking, and even a jibe. She learned the lines and helmed as we enjoyed the lovely scenery of the island coast here. Her favorite part was turning off the engines and the minor tacks. Mine was we had flat seas with 15-20knots of wind. Hopefully next time weāll have our new jib š©µ
Klein CuraƧao is a little island off CuraƧao; klein literally means little. We know itās popular for tourists so visiting was on our bucket list. Finally opted to sail over from another anchorage spot here on island. You do lose island wind protection in-between hence the choppy seas and with the wind right on the nose meant a long motor over. Just means we have some hot water for after snorkeling and diving! Weather: Cloudy with peaking sun Sea State: Choppy seas, pitching and rolling; five second swells 1-2m Wind: 15-20 knots, the usual here Cats: Chill, bit interested in outside once we anchored but then went back to their usual daytime nap spots š¾ Sea Sickness Notes: Relief Band set at 2, then 3. Tried Primatour, one tablet. Thing was so gross but seemed to work very well.
