new Nets, who dis?
not sure what this saga would best be titled:
-Free Fallin
-no good deed goes unpunished…
-Samaritans: how good are they?
-Cat’s Cradle on the High Seas
-held hostage in Bermuda!
long story short, our nets finally made it out of Bermudian Customs purgatory, back to FL, over to CO where we toted them down to Grenada ourselves.
Rob did a great job with some patch work that held together for the rest of the season- though new holes continued to develop. sadly the tramps were no longer to be trusted.
finally, install day(s) came. with a lot of ingenuity (& upper body strength), we got the task done. the lion’s share was Rob’s doing, but our topping lift gave the last bit of oomph it had in it to assist!
we couldn’t be more pleased with the outcome, though i still race from one side of the nets to the other; it’ll take a minute to rebuild the trust, lol.
as always, Spice Island Marine Services was such an incredible place to execute these projects. we always have the best, most productive time here. cheers to them!
and also to Multihull Nets for suppling such a quality product ✨
Hit us up if you want to chat before you do your own install as we found there to be a bit of nuance involved in some places.
