We absolutely FLEW back to Charlotte Amelie the other week. 18+ kts, consistently. it was really fun and Really FAST!

We raised the main and set the Code D and didn’t touch either until the wind died almost completely the final bit. Fantastic journey- well above 12+ kts for most of it, hitting 14.2 (sustained) for awhile. Albeit the arrival is to a place i’m not crazy about coming back to, but they have a boat part we needed, so it is what it is. just here for a flash, and then off to St. John and then BVI. all is well aboard the beautiful vessel Mirabai.

An awesome week out with a family getting them through their American Sailing certifications. Perfect weather and new captains certified. Happy days!

Super fun day out with a couple of short races around the cans for the first annual Cruisers Regatta! ⛵️💨 We got line honors in both races and had a blast sailing with friends. Thanks to all those that helped organize the regatta! Note - Not sure why the avg speed is so low 🤷‍♂️

Lumpy start with an epic end. We had to slow down to get into port during daylight. Great winds and kind sea state made for a fast easy trip.

What a legendary team. Top speed of 18 knots heading into Gibraltar. Warm up for the Atlantic crossing.

So far so good. The first and Longest leg of the southbound delivery wrapped up this morning in Charleston where we will rest and do some boat work. I have been seriously impressed with how this priveledge 435 (no I’m not actually on Mirsbai) handled some pretty serious sea state around cape fear. And how well she points to wind. I’ve been even more impressed with how Jake and Jesica (Perseverance’s) proud owners have done. We have put some serious offshore miles under their keel and have had so many great learning opportunities. Call it trauma bonding if you’d like, but I think we’ll be friends for a very long time after this.

Easing from a broad reach to a beam as the wind and current shift. We saw nice sailing through the night to include a twelve knot surf session.

Underway again. Since there was not as much bashing today, Christine and I took the opportunity to practice our splicing. Now to find something to do with all these soft shackles. Conception to Turks and Caicos
