Just thinking back to last summer’s soak at Hot Springs Cove… that long boardwalk through the forest, the sound of the falls hitting the rocks—still one of my favorite stops. The anchorage is fairly exposed, but if the weather’s kind, it’s worth every moment. Such a special place—please treat it gently if you go. Pack out what you bring in and tread lightly. 🌊 Cold Plunge at Shaw Island 🥶 Anchored off beautiful Shaw Island and decided to take the plunge — literally! 🏊♀️ 53°F water, early season temps… but worth it for the boat bottom to be clean! We anchored overnight at Jones Island, then dinghied over to Yellow Island for a peaceful spring visit. The wildflowers were in full bloom, the trails were quiet, and the views over the San Juans didn’t disappoint. We filmed a short video —grateful to The Nature Conservancy for protecting this gem. We sailed to Cypress Island in Washington’s San Juan Islands this spring—and had the hiking trails completely to ourselves! The quiet anchorage offered open mooring balls and blooming wildflowers like the dawn lily and calypso orchid. A peaceful escape into nature, perfect for spring sailors, hikers, and wildflower lovers. Great wind to get us there out of the North at 10-15 knots.
