This was an incredibly industrial area. The size of the naval ships is actually insane, we felt like an ant going by them. Here for a week for the Great Loop rendezvous and planning the Chesapeake. Stay tuned for more action😂
Short day just cruising up the canal towards Norfolk. Nothing really to interesting today.
This was a day that Plan A, B, C and D for anchorages didn’t workout so we just keep going. Ended up being a great day getting out of the marina bright and early! Sailed the second half of the day once it picked it up🤘🏼 Also this is Haley and I 41st state together so only 9 more to go!!!
Easter blessed us a perfect day of sailing on Haley’s birthday! We were able to for about 75% of this trip and it was awesome. The amount of crab pots we dodged today was absolutely insane 😂
Today was a great day cruise until we got out of the Aligator River Canal and onto the rivers itself. Blowing 30 knots and we quickly decided trying to continue was not the play. Tucked in here to ride out this wind. On to Manteo tomorrow morning 🤘🏼
Quick little trip from RE Mayo to Belhaven and it was a great cruise. Haley and I switched off from driving to being on meetings. Time for a couple days in Belhaven and then onto Manteo.
After the tip from Logan to stop at RE Mayo here we are! Actually had a nice morning sail after bashing into for a few minutes. Quick stop for a few meetings before continuing to either Belhaven or an anchorage for the night.
We were looking to make a jump from Beaufort to Ocracoke but the wind kicked up more than we planned on so we decided to duck in and find a hot tub😂 Ocracoke in the morning though!🤘🏼 Also I decided to start sailing when Haley was on a meeting and she wasn’t super pleased for that decision 😂
This was the longest day we have done and that was too long for us😂 Started out being 40 degrees and freezing and ended with some good wind. We covered all the bases today.
Windy as all hell and of course it’s blowing out of where we need to go. Not the best day but still enjoyable🤘🏼
State #4 on the trip so far and we had a great time on this cruise! Good vibes and good weather!
Beautiful early morning cruise and docked right in time for work to start. It’s the perfect amount of cold today.
Honestly one of the most beautiful cruises we have had. I have coined this trip the Amazon of South Carolina. Great vibes and got quite a bit of work done. Now for docktails with friends 🤘🏼
This was a long windy day most 25 to 30 knots the whole time. Also wildly shallow the whole way as well but never touched the ground.
Thought it was a great day to go for a day sail but our heavy girl needs quite a bit of wind to move so we kind of just bobbed around for a few hours 😂 no complaints though as it was beautiful. Then we ran aground so it’s all about balance today
Started our day with Scout throwing up a piece of stick 10 days later. An absolutely beautiful morning and day cruising to Charleston, which was beautiful to arrive by boat🤘🏼
Today was a needed day of beautiful cruising, good laughs, a jam session on Spotify and cigars. If I remember I’ll share the anchor track because we are doing figure 8s out here.
After the work day at Daufuskie we pulled anchor and headed for Beaufort where we will stay for the week. Was an awesome cruise, our furler for our head sail is acting up or we could have had an awesome sail.
After a nice week in Savannah for Scout to heal up and stumbling into one of the largest St Patrick’s day festivals in the country we are on our way. Also Daufuskie was dafucking pretty!
After scout got hurt yesterday we decided to push all the way to Savannah to be near a big city just in case anything goes wrong. Scout relaxed all day and was able to eat a bit of wet food. It was a beautiful day for a cruise and Stella was making herself right at home😂 The Georgia tides almost got us coming through Hell Gate today as we draw 4ft and we saw 4.1, didn’t get a photo but we did of the 4.7.
