⛵ Organising sailing adventures across Europe, the Caribbean & Transatlantic 📆 Join us across the Atlantic Ocean: 13.10.25 - 22.11.2025 Mallorca -> Martinique 🌍 Mile building • Ocean passages • Skipper training (SKS/SSS) 🚢 Managing yacht deliveries for major charter fleets (200+ yachts, 20+ atlantic crossings/year) 🧭 Skipper & instructor from Hamburg — currently looking for a blue water yacht! 👨✈️ Already a skipper? Let’s talk jobs.
It’s the start of an intense six day trip! I’m instructor & skipper for five aspiring skippers on the Baltic Sea, teaching them the wits of navigation, maneuvering and seamanship. At the end of the week, they’re going to take their practical SKS exam (German Yachtmaster Coastal) and hopefully be able to call themselves skippers quite soon! Good luck to all of them on Thursday 🤝
Although I’ve made sailing my full time occupation last year, the stars have never before aligned to take my siblings and close family out sailing. One of our yachts is currently located in the Baltic Sea, close enough to my family, and was unoccupied for a couple of days… so I took them out! We were rewarded with typical German summer weather: fresh, overcast, some rain but up to 8bft of wind!! Very quick sail from Greifswald to Rügen and back. I’m not sure my sisters are now magically going to uproot their lives to go sailing like I did. But maybe they’ll get my passion a little bit more. Although my passion definitely doesn’t stop at the Baltic See 🐠🪸🌴
This week, we crossed the Bay of Biscay aboard Sound of Silence - and yes, we found some real silence out there. Life at sea amplifies everything: the highs feel higher, the lows feel lower, and the intensity of each moment is unmatched. For four unforgettable days, we sailed across a stretch of ocean known for its fierce winds and rough seas — but it welcomed us gently at first. Light tailwinds filled the gennaker, and soon we were surrounded by calm, endless water, with dolphins and even whales breaking the surface. At night, the magic deepened: dolphins danced in our wake, leaving glowing trails of bioluminescence shimmering behind. But the ocean always has a turn — and after the lull came two grueling days beating upwind in 6 Bft and steep waves. Both reefing systems broke down, seasickness hit, and I caught a cold... so yes, I'm very happy to be back on land in France now. This was a last minute delivery for FluxAhoi with Kim as my amazing coskipper starting in southern Portugal and ending in northern France. This boat goes from Croatia all the way to the Baltic Sea, and there will be plenty of sailing opportunities for you onboard! We're still looking for crew for the sister ship if you see yourself doing this route in a couple of weeks 🤙
It was nice and sunny. We fueled up 99L.
Last minute: Looking for crew! Due to a delay in our itinerary, some of our crew members won’t be able to stay onboard for the next leg. We’re crossing the bay of biscay from A Crouña (Spain) to Brest (France) this Friday or Saturday (depending on weather). Only contribution required is food & your own travel. Maybe someone wants to build some 300nm very spontaneously! Two experienced skippers onboard, sailing a watch keeping system. Jeanneau Sun Odyssey 389 Fair winds!
Very lucky couple of days with southerly winds!
