Today we went collecting sediment samples for chemical testing along foster branch. It was nicely overcast today which cooled the temperature nicely.

Nothing cures the Monday blues like a ripp around on the dinghy! Wanted to see the sunset and was seriously not disappointed! Not too shabby for this ol motor!

Had some good fun crabbin around Greenberry Point Friday morning, ended up catching a lot more back at the dock lol. Great eating and still having some leftovers in crab dip!!

Awesome racing in about 20 knots during a small craft advisory! We had 3 general recalls so a tricky start. Setting & lowering the spinnaker was difficult in such a heavy breeze. Didn’t place in the top 10 boats but still a very fun & challenging day.

Took the boat out with my cousins + mom to watch the Wednesday Night Races finish up in the Annapolis harbor.

My old pal Bobby was in town and offered to whip up some dinner in exchange for taking his fam out sailing. Naturally I couldn’t say no to going sailing. Despite there was absolutely zero wind we had an amazing sunset. The highlight of the night was the chance to see some beautiful Cow Nosed Ray up close !!

Captain Ed’s first sail of the season and boy was it a doosey. My grandpa is 93 years old and probably the most enthusiastic sailor I know. His boat has certainly seen better days and today’s adventures proved that. We had engine failure in the middle of the inlet due to a sketchy fuel line. A jam in the harken furler which wouldn’t let the jib fully come out. Then to top it all off we ran over a crab pot with the rudder and had to push it off with a boat hook. Safe to say it was pretty exhausting but grandpa is a stubborn little man and was still very happy to be on the water sailing his pride and joy.

Took the girls out for a little cruise around town, of course the rain had other ideas 🌧️

2 keepers is more like snack than a meal, But a win is a win. We got delayed in the morning by some dirty fuel. So next weekend we’ll get an earlier start, and a more remote creek, hopefully catch a lot more.

Was absolutely nuking out so we got to do some real fast sailing, then anchored out and swam and made BBQ. Unfortunately we broke the flag pole & dorade vent in the commotion. Should be easy enough to fix

Racing onboard Mi-2 (Mission Impossible 2) the J-88. We were first off the starting line and 2nd over the finish line, after corrected time 3rd overall. Not a bad result all things considered. Got to see some heat lightning looking very ominous right as we came to the finish line.

Had 3 awesome races aboard the J-22. My first time in a long time running bow. First hoist was sloppy after that smooth sailing apart from a sketchy leward make rounding in race 2. Otherwise awesome racing!

I had a tough time picking up the anchor as it had wrapped around a floating buoy. But we had a pretty nice motor sail back home to Annapolis. Sad to leave St Michael’s as we had the most beautiful final night watching sunsets, fireworks, and BBQ’n. Until next time…

Awesome day of motoring from back creek to st Michael’s. Dropped the anchor right off parrot point. Trying out the new wind scoop, new iPad chart plotter & new anchor bridal from Mantus Marine!! Gotta love sailing gadgets!

Didn’t expect to get much sailing in today but in 5-7 knots we were able to make a solid 2-3 knots. Had a nice little day sail before the afternoon’s thunderstorms hit.

Had a great time taking the dinghy for a spin & to see some live music at the Annapolis Maritime Museum Thursday concert series aka “tides & tunes”. Sadly the show was called off early due to the storm but we made the most of it

We had an awesome night on the water motoring around, watching some paddleboard racing, the sunset, and cruising down ego alley.

First solo sail of the year and I’m greeted to a familiar face, Ian and his beautiful X Yacht with a brand new jib from North Sails! Oh yeah and this time I did hit 7 knots, not sure why seapeople speed tracker is so off nonetheless pretty sporty day 😃

Left the dock early as hell and came back around noon with about 40-50 crabs. Not bad for a solid morning’s work. Hoping to do this again sometime soon it sure was fun 🤙

Okay well we didn’t technically reach max hull speed but I think 6.8 knots is about as quick as she’ll go without fresh bottom paint 😂

Finally installed the hydrofoil and holy shit, this is a game changer. It literally gets up on plane in about 2 seconds. Super excited to see how fuel economy is.

Absolutely zero wind here this evening but that’s a perfect time to fly the drone up for some awesome pictures!!

Brought my mom and her dog Roo for Friday day sail we planned to watch Annapolis 2 Bermuda race start but we were too late

This stack pack is absolutely a game changer, now I can basically go sailing at the drop of a hat with nearly no effort at all. Super excited for the rest of summer.

Very fun time racing the J/22 for three windward leeward races. Initially had a difficult time getting the spinnaker up but on the following races everything went well.

Returning back to the marina after an awesome weekend on the mooring ball at spa creek. Will definitely come back here again such a nice spot to spend a couple nights.

Might’ve lost the pull handle in the process but if you yank on the string long enough it’ll start👍

This hammock is easily the best thing I’ve ever bought for the boat. This trip is the ol back creek -> spa creek jaunt. I’m now understanding why they call it “spa”

Finally fixed the diesel with a new muffler and riser for the exhaust elbow. Awesome blue angels day today! We enjoyed watching on shore but had to go for a sunset sail. P.S. Repping my SeaPeople hat!

Awesome sail aboard Enchente my first time sailing a Kerch rig. She is a Pearson 365 whose owner I met in the Pearson group. Was great getting out on short notice and seeing what the old girl can do. She’s still got it🤙

Incredible downwind regatta in 15 knots, we unfortunately ruined our mainsail and we didn’t have use of our traveler. Almost lost the whole spinnaker and our captain on the final mark rounding. But we had an awesome race in pretty tricky conditions to finish 5th out of around 12 boats.

Last day of the Heineken Regatta was absolutely epic. I can safely say the hangover was catching up to all of us but nevertheless we had great racing on two races of the short Windward / Leeward course. We secured 3rd and 4th overall for both of our Irish boats representing the Royal St. George Yacht Club in Dún Laoghaire, Dublin 🇮🇪 The week ended with our champagne trophy and a legendary performance from the Wailers 🇯🇲 Until next year 🍻

This was a two races in super light air conditions. Went all the way around pelican rock and back. Race committee abandoned to allow all the boats rushing to make it thru the 5pm draw bridge. We proudly refused to furl in our sails till the very bitter end end. Out of the 15 boats in our fleet only 3 made it over the finish. Still better than a day on dry land

Much less wind on day 2 made for a much less exciting race. Apart from a small collision among 2 other boats in our fleet. The strong current and light wind lead the two boats into a lil fender bender. We sailed through to a decent 4th place finish.

Awesome first day of the Heineken regatta, we had a terrible 1st leg downwind, opting to take the further offshore route while the boats which hugged the shore gained some distance on us. After a tight rounding of blowing rocks Anguilla we had a great upwind leg racing our sister ship. Ended up nearly a photo finish between the top 3 boats, we took 2nd place but we will return

Never in a million years would I have predicted to see the northern lights from Annapolis Maryland but here we are and I still have chills 😁

We had planned a buddy boating excursion to Tilghman island but once we checked the forecast we called it off…. Ended up being a pretty great weekend Weather wise Friday Overnight and raft up in round bay, then Saturday a full speed downwind sail through the bay bridge. And a couple quick pit stops then some swimming at greenbury point. Managed to avoid the big rain showers on Saturday. Highly recommend getting hammocks for when you’re watching sunset on the anchor. P.S. try not to sky your halyard as it’s quite a hassle

Compressed Natural Gas Refills? Anybody know of a place to refill compressed natural gas tanks? I’m located in Maryland but more than willing to drive almost anywhere on the east coast to refil this. I used to have a reliable guy but his supplier went outta business. I’m starting to loose hope as I know CNG propane is hard to find. And before anyone comments I’m not able to fund any propane or electric conversions at this point so I really just need to find someone to refil the CNG tank.

Planning a group trip from Annapolis to Tilghman island Aug 16-18. Already have a buddy planning to sail his X-Yacht 41 plus my own Pearson 34. Inviting all other boaters to join us on the journey. Might be looking for crew hmu if interested
