Sailing means freedom. The ultimate freedom is living on your boat and working in the industry. Love the livestyle ⛵️
A really pleasant daysail to Torrevieja. Feels great to be back on the own boat after working on charter boats. 😍
A big thank you to the amazing crew for a great week!!! 🤗🤗🤗 After the usual waiting dance at the fuel dock (thank you superyacht for blocking all hoses 😅) we‘re back to base safe and sound 🥳 Images - a praying Manta came over for breakfast - happy crew 😊 - get some dinosaurs
What a great way back towards the base. Nice breeze, beautiful lunch stop along the way and happy guests. Don‘t mind the pirouettes interupting the tracks. The autopilot missbehaved and needed some recalibration 😵💫 Images - happy guests eager to learn - going upwind but why doesn‘t it heel 🤨🤭
Choosing spots from further away 🕵️♂️
Admittedly many places in the med are very full in high season. However, if you‘re pacient enough there‘s always a nice spot for a sundowner and a tasty dinner 😊 Also there are some pilot whales to be found. Marine mammals every day of the trip so far! Images - beautiful view after sunset - hello Lakka
A treat for the guests seeing dolphins 4 times today on the way to the cave where Aphrodite supposedly was born 🤗 Images - Aphrodites cave - beautiful rockformations close by
Beautiful first day at sea. Dolphins after 3h into the trip. What a treat for the guests 😃
Morningcoffee in Gouvia ☕️ New charter week 📆 New boat ⛵️ New Crew 🔄 Off we go, exploring the ionian sea for a week
Sooooo… After waiting for days for the bridge to be fixed (how hard can it be?😅) a new plan is required… Heading up to Torrevieja to anchor inside the harbour from where I can take a bus to the airport 🚌✈️🇬🇷 The boat can‘t stay there, so… I‘m very lucky to have a Crewmember on board right now who agreed to drop me at the fuel dock and take the boat back (first solo sail ever) to the ruines and then pass the bridge once it‘s fixed… Feeling surpriseingly at ease, I have full trust in the Crew and full trust my boat will give her a beautiful „first time“. Go girls, you got this!!! 💪 Image - Sunrise foto sent to me by my crew while I‘m sitting in the bus 🌅
A nice and calm passage back to mainland. Need to leave the boat for a week to go to run another charter in Greece. Planned was leaving the boat in mar menor at anchor. Very good plan. But the lifting bridge is broken and I can‘t access it 🤭 Therefore anchoring in the middle of the ruins of the old marina ⚓️ Felt a bit scetchy in the beginning but wow what a calm place to be 😃 Hope the bridge will be all fixed by Friday so I don‘t have to come up with some „it‘s boating, let‘s improvise“ plan 😅 Images - Taking the bike to shore 🚲 - Arrival at the ruines - Another round of bread under way 🍞
No hippies, anchorage was packed… Let‘s try again the following days
Thank you for the beautiful sunset 🥰
Beautiful and hot passage to Ibiza! Started with less wind then forecasted but a beautiful beam reach doing 5.5kts in company of dolphins towards the end 🐬 Images: - Good bye Calpe - New beautiful day at sea - Approaching the island - Busy anchorage…
Positioned myself for the crossing to Ibiza 🤗
Med forecast at it‘s finest. What should have been a plesant beam reach sail ended up as taking a beating all day long. Upwind into 1m swells at 2.5s Yes I timed them 😅 Didn‘t reach my goal of Calpe, the wind vered then died and the seastate stayed… So all anchored up in Benidorm in the middle of absolute Jetski, Bananaboat, Parasailing and Wakeboard madness. Can‘t wait for sunset 🤣 Photos - bye bye Alicante - hello Benidorm
Got reminded again how exceptionally well the lady sails from a beamreach to hard upwind. Sometimes consistent speeds of 5.7 kts in about 8 kts of breeze. Photos: - never miss the morning coffee - chilled crew - my visitor hiding from the baking sun - time for a cooldown swim
