Currently not tracking
The sea is calling, but Nikki Henderson isn't tracking right now. Come back later!

Please enjoy my new project. Weekly saltings via Substack: https://open.substack.com/pub/saltedlife?r=3jgzvq&utm_medium=ios I feel a connection with the sea deep in my soul. It’s a place I find love, acceptance, and fulfilment. It’s beautiful, mystical and helps me see life from a different perspective. Onboard, I am 100% present. I’m a Leo 🦁 and a rooster 🐓 - I can be … a lot. So, if you wonder where I’ve gone, and I’m not on the water - I’m probably hiding 😶🌫️, recovering 🧘♀️ on firm ground. ☘️ And as for sailing ⛵️- I can cruise 😎 and I can race 🏃♀️ . But, not at the same time. If you would like to learn from me, enjoy reading my writing or just want to support me - sign up to my Substack. https://open.substack.com/pub/saltedlife?r=3jgzvq&utm_medium=ios I dream of cruising and living aboard with a family. So, anyone doing that inspires me. Expect enthusiastic questioning 😋
We came 3rd! Epic sailing.
Punishment on deck and down below. This beat was brutal. And you can’t see the barge being towed that we had to keep avoiding.
Two tack lines blew, we nearly overshot Saint Martin - but thankfully we held our own!
Fast and furious! We blew a tackline, wrapped a kite twice around the forestay, reached in 25 knots at a TWA of 100 with an A4 up … it was a lot.
If you zoom in closely, you will see our MOB recovery. Up close and personal with a rock. No one injured.
Once someone puked on their crewmate, I gave up tracking.
Leaving Bergen we had 35 knots on the nose. The track looks so smooth! The sea wasn’t. 7 of 8 crew were vomiting. It was like a scene from Triangle of Sadness.
With a crew of only women we set out to sail from Bergen to Amsterdam. This day we navigated the fjords and some tight bridge passages …
As we approached the south of Guadeloupe we saw the mast track was peeling off the rig. We flew the trisail all the way to Désirade before retiring.
