Myorca is back in her home country. About 6 nm SE of the sleeping giant. As a citizen of Canada I can say it’s good to be back. Winds are dying back from 20 overnight on the big lake.

Such remarkable topography here. The long bays provide for great anchoring. The entry into this particular bay is shallow and requires a bit of zigging and zagging. Trust Bonnie we find ourselves saying frequently

I emptied out the dry bag which sat open on the beach after our last paddle hike and out rolled Hop. I bet an amphibian gets nervous in something that resembles a steamer. We released him where this nice looking brook empties into Chippewa harbor.

Lake monter encounters are expected to be abundant. Swimming moose, ancient sounding Sandhill cranes were encountered here
