The weather cooperated for the evening, so we hopped in our little beater dinghy to explore the fjord. The scale of these granite walls tricks you and everything looks closer than it is. By the time we reached the end of Punchbowl Cove (just a sliver of the fjord itself), we already felt way too far from the mothership. What started as a quick cruise turned into nearly a 20 nm dingy mission 😂. Honestly, there wasn’t much better to see than right where Ciao Bella was moored. In hindsight, it probably wasn’t the smartest call to go that far. One of @Port’s nails popping a chamber and we’d be totally screwed. Lesson learned: no more epic dingy missions until we’re somewhere the water, weather, and wildlife aren’t all conspiring to unalive you.
