Had a very tough upwind sail, and I also learnt a very valuable lesson about ocean currents! Ended up doing about 1.5kts. Weather turned terrible and made the decision to turn around. Return trip took 8 hrs compared with 24hrs to get that far. Had a great down wind run to get back! Lessons were learnt, which was the main thing.
