Going up wind from Moorea and to Fakarava north ♡

It’s humpback whale season in French Polynesia!!! A few hours after we left Moorea we were surrounded by whales. (I really missed Leo’s iPhone 16 camera for the zoom on this sail compared to my iPhone 13🥲) The two humpbacks kept breaching in the distance and as I was filming them I hear a very loud air blow and ANOTHER whale has come to the surface literally a few meters from the bow and as you can hear in the video my first reaction was “f***” because first of all I really really don’t wanna injure a whale and second of all I really really don’t wanna sink because I hit a whale😅 After about 30 minutes of slowing down the boat and making sure we were out of range from any whales we continued our sail to Fakarava north where the cutest dogs in French Polynesia live🫶🏼
