Sailing from one dive site to another around to world with my best friend Leo💙 We decided to sail around the world when we were 23 years old and left Denmark in July 2023. Two ocean crossings and a whole lot of nautical miles later here in 2025 and we still wake up everyday in love with our choice of lifestyle! We’re currently in French Polynesia and enjoying the magic below and above the surface everyday✨
Wall of sharks will forever ever ever be one of our favourite places on earth😍✨ I don’t think it’s possible to ever get tired of this place! If you’re ever in French Polynesia this is on the top must visit places. Only love for this place 🧡🧡🧡
It’s humpback whale season in French Polynesia!!! A few hours after we left Moorea we were surrounded by whales. (I really missed Leo’s iPhone 16 camera for the zoom on this sail compared to my iPhone 13🥲) The two humpbacks kept breaching in the distance and as I was filming them I hear a very loud air blow and ANOTHER whale has come to the surface literally a few meters from the bow and as you can hear in the video my first reaction was “f***” because first of all I really really don’t wanna injure a whale and second of all I really really don’t wanna sink because I hit a whale😅 After about 30 minutes of slowing down the boat and making sure we were out of range from any whales we continued our sail to Fakarava north where the cutest dogs in French Polynesia live🫶🏼
Lots of tacking upwind for this trip. It was our last sail with Paul, Lillie and the kids onboard and a perfect way to end their trip. Arriving to Moorea’s stunning scenery is a treat and we’re still pinching ourselves knowing that we get to sail here for an entire year more. 🥹🌸⛵️
After 3 months of complete social media detox, we’re finally back to sharing our sailing trips and photos from life at sea. French Polynesia is still spoiling us in every way and this sail, from the south pass of Fakarava to Huahine, was the perfect moment to get the camera back out. It was truly 2,5 days of pure blissful downwind sailing. As we turned the corner around Fakarava and headed west towards Huahine, we set the whisker pole and then basically didn’t touch a sail until we arrived. As easy as it gets! That however, was only until we were about to enter the reef passage to Huahine at night, and our engine wouldn’t start. Think we concluded that our starter battery is in need of a change and as always we’re adding to the to-do list. 🫠 Now we’re safely moored in the south of Huahine, after a beautiful sail inside the reef. There’s some heavy wind gusts being thrown around the island and even heavier ones to come in the next few days. But this was without a doubt one of those trips that makes sailing around the world worth all the work ♥︎
