What a bittersweet sail! I’m heading north to Wrightsville Beach after an amazing first season in the USVI. Running captain-only charters in a new place on a new (to me) boat! An incredible learning experience and one I am so very grateful for. Now for the sail home… This first leg of the sail was absolutely beautiful - great wind, held a nice 6-10kts boat speed the whole way, and even flew the spin (a bit jury rigged since it’s not for this boat) on the first day. Only a teeny bit of rain. This happy little stopover in the Bahamas is a great treat - After a crew change and a couple days in these blue blue waters, I’ll be on to the second half of the trip.
