Military chaos but a beautiful sail ⛵️

What a wonderful sail! We didn't have to start the engine and there were no annoying waves to throw us around. I enjoyed every moment of it. We had several laughs along the way. The military called us on the radio to let us know that they were conducting an exercise and we needed to stay 5 miles off the coast. We followed their instructions. Other boats nearby received the same warning, but the communication was so confusing that it caused some chaos. One boat was even given strict orders to leave immediately because it was disrupting the exercise. You could hear the panic over the radio. The exercise itself lasted less than half an hour, but the loud bangs echoed around the bay.
