Day 1 of our trip was perfect. Our cats were sleeping peacefully, we could sail most of the time, Greg made pizza, … the vibe aboard was good. At sunset, the wind died down and we had to start the engine. It was hazy outside and it all looked quite eerie. But all went well, nothing to report or nothing spectacular seen, except for a beautiful sunrise. The next day, at noon, the wind picked up. Quite instantly. Greg had a look inside and saw that Finn threw up again, on the bed… I cannot blame him, the boat was rolling uncomfortably on the waves. He was shaking out of fear. I installed myself next to him, which wasn’t a good idea as I became nauseous again and suddenly I felt so cold! I tried to fall asleep while the men outside were holding our boat in control. The motion inside was crazy, poor cats were having a hard time. By 7 PM, we arrived at our “new” destination. We normally wanted to go more south of the Peloponnese but went more upwards and east to Monemvasia to seek shelter for the coming days. They are predicting a lot of wind again. As soon as we dropped anchor and stopped the engine, Finn was OK and played on deck. Note: The live tracking of SeaPeople that I used is showing more nm’s then we actually did. We sailed 137,5 nm’s instead of 164,9.
