We didn't get much sleep because of the swell. As soon as the sun came up we decided to set sail. Our destination was Licata, 61.8 miles away. We knew it was going to be a long day. Throughout the day we were relying heavily on our engine as there just wasn't enough wind for smooth sailing. It's quite difficult to navigate the south coast of Sicily as there are few sheltered anchorages. As evening approached and we headed for our anchorage, the sky turned an enchanting mix of orange and pink, casting its hues onto the rippling waves below. Meanwhile, Dr Dre's music filled the cockpit. By the time we reached Licata, darkness had fallen over the area. Fortunately, our anchor was holding securely and the swell was minimal, providing some relief after a long day.
