Our trip to Sardinia was very peaceful. We saw lots of turtles and dolphins while sailing most of the time. The weather was perfect! Our only hiccup was when our engine suddenly stopped working when we tried to start it. This happened twice and in the end we managed to get it working again. We've replaced the filter and the pump and it seems to be working normally again. During our trip I had problems falling asleep and by the second day I felt like a zombie. Every time I tried to take a nap my mind said 'NO'! Very annoying... For the last week I've been struggling to stay mentally stable. I guess this is what they call 'sailing fatigue'. We've covered a lot of miles in the last 10 days and barely touched land. I've been longing for solid ground instead of the relentless motion of the boat. I had a bit of a breakdown the other day when a can of water spilled on me - it kind of triggered something. But it is getting better now. Self-care and accepting that life doesn't have to be perfect is so important. Life isn't always sunshine and rainbows, and it's perfectly normal to have days when you're not feeling your best.
