Great Keppel Island

What an amazing, social, exciting, and eventful day aboard KII with friends and family. We started the day by making our way around the island. After a couple of windy weeks, we were looking forward to the first full day of calm winds and blue skies… and we got it! We went snorkeling and fishing in the morning, gathered back for family lunch in the arvo, and spent the rest of the day hanging out, reading, and swimming off the back of the boat before heading back around to the other side. My parents bought our family houseboat six months before I was born, in 1998! My three siblings and I have spent so much of our childhood (and much of our young adulthood) aboard. We’ve celebrated many events, including birthdays, holidays, and graduations, and it’s been wonderful to see our family’s “next” generation (my 20-month-old nephew) getting to share in the joy. Thanks to my family and our friends for making KII my home on the sea 🌊
