We first anchored on the other side of the bay, but were soon surrounded by small boats, kayakers and paddle boarders. Too crowded! So we moved to the other side where there were several buoys. These free buoys are available because the seabed is covered with Posidonia. We had been looking for a free spot all day, but to no avail. Fortunately, our luck changed in the evening. The swell in the bay was anything but pleasant. It was just manageable (i.e. nothing fell over), but not comfortable. I jumped into the water and discovered we were in an aquarium, with so many fish around us! The next day we went to a nearby beach and did some snorkelling in the bay. We've also decided to go to Lisbon, Portugal this winter. We want to visit friends who live nearby and recharge our batteries. The downside is that we'll have to pass through killer whale territory, but that's unavoidable. Staying in the Mediterranean isn't an option for us; we want to discover more of the world. But for now we're going to use this winter to rest and then dive into the new year with renewed vigour. Something we often forget is that we have time, so there is no need to rush. Funny how the universe gives signals, but the first song I heard on the radio in the supermarket when we were struggling with what to do was "Take it easy", and that's exactly what we're going to do now. 😌
