The journey to Cala Algaiarens was quite challenging. Once again, we had underestimated the size of the waves, causing the boat to sway dramatically. Finn, our cat, got seasick and spent the rest of the trip lying behind a cushion in the cockpit. Normally, we don't allow our cats outside while sailing, but we’ve noticed that fresh air seems to help Finn. We might need to consider installing a safe crate in the cockpit. After several hours of battling rough waves, the sea finally calmed down, and we were able to sail comfortably to our anchorage. Upon arrival, we were immediately invited by our neighbors on Charisma, Marie and Rainer. They sent us a message on Instagram, asking if we wanted to come over. Social media has proven its worth; the number of sailors we've met through Instagram is countless. We spent a lovely evening sharing stories and experiences, all while watching a breathtaking sunset behind the mountains. The next day, we set off for a hike along the Cami de Cavalls. Every time we walk in Menorca, I think it can’t possibly get any more beautiful, and each time, I'm proven wrong. The natural beauty of Menorca is incredibly well-preserved, with few unsightly buildings and minimal overdevelopment. The locals have every reason to be proud of their island. We walked among pine trees, across vast fields, over rocks, and past historical buildings dating back to 1937. This section of the Cami de Cavalls did not disappoint, and it was hard to stop walking. One might be tempted to cover the entire 185 kilometers just to see it all.
