Phew, the sea turned out to be rougher than we had imagined. El Burro is being tossed around once again. Luckily, the crossing isn’t very long this time. After just over an hour we drop anchor in a small patch of sand. The waves are still rolling in, but it’s manageable. We take some time to rest, hop in the dinghy to go ashore, stroll around, and treat ourselves to something sweet: a cinnamon roll and a salted caramel–peanut crumble. Slowly we make our way back to the boat. In the evening we fire up the barbecue and grill some chicken drumsticks that turn out just a bit spicier than expected. Afterwards we relax in the cockpit with our desserts while, in the background, a band plays old rock covers. Surprisingly good, actually. That night we wake up several times. The swell keeps rolling in annoyingly and Finn amuses himself by teasing Nelly. Not much sleep for us. Early in the morning the anchor comes up again: time to leave this spot behind.
