The sailing trip was not really worth mentioning. Nothing spectacular happened, it was quite a relaxing sail. We spent three days anchored at Port d'Addaia in Menorca. The nights were sooooo peaceful! It felt like we were floating on a lake. Around us, we could hear the soothing sounds of crickets, frogs, and jumping fish. It felt like we were in a bubble, surrounded only by nature. However, there was one night when our peace was somewhat rudely interrupted. During the windless night, we were startled by a loud noise. It turned out that our neighbour (the back of their boat, not the neighbour himself) had bumped into the side of our boat. Fortunately, there was no damage, and it wasn't even that spectacular. Another noteworthy event was the forecasted meteotsunami. Although we didn’t notice anything in the end, we were concerned about what might happen. The town of Port d'Addaia looked like it came straight out of a magazine. Many unique, beautifully shaped houses with private pools and breathtaking views. The dozens of palm trees and the blue sea water created the perfect Mediterranean vibe. One of my personal highlights was a morning SUP session in the bay. The water was so calm it felt like I was paddleboarding over a mirror. Greg came over with the dinghy and brought breakfast. It was a perfect start to the day. So yeah, nothing to complain about. Menorca is treating us well. What a beautiful island!
