Snail trail had the lead to start, Lost lost a tube at the start 🤦‍♀️ and I had to rip in Cannoli to get it back. About halfway through we managed to pass the snail trail and they never recovered. We have suspicions that they let us win :/. Is that true, snails?! It was pretty sporty out there, today!

No bueno. Beneteau style washer did a fair bit of chewing into the prop. I’m guessing the key wasn’t a solid fit and the slop allowed the washer to eventually work its way through the prop. It began unthreading itself enough for the key to slide out. Probably wouldn’t have happened if the washer was properly bent down into the key hole. Fantastic. Think I should carve a new divot into the prop to lock in the new washer? When I get hauled in Guatemala I’ll likely just drill a couple of holes through the nut and shaft and toss in some cotter pins.

Floatchella was amazing this year! Met so many rad cruisers that I’ll be staying in touch with from now on. Today it seemed everyone thought it was a good call to head south so we reluctantly followed like sheep. Plowing into waves at 7.5 kts is painful, so we reefed Lost to the max and worked our way down slowly. Plan to stay in Pipe creek for a few days kiteboarding if anyone wants to join.

Got here a day early to watch the Super Bowl at anchor before our raftup tomorrow. Excited for the next couple of days here in paradise 🇧🇸

So glad we came down! Watching the classic Bahamian sloops battle it out was awesome 🇧🇸 Heading up to Shroud now for Floaaaaaatchella 🏴

Had a blast watching the traditional Bahamian sloop boat race at little farmers cay. I was rooting for Sassy Sue, Brian wanted Termite to win, but Slaughter, quite literally slaughtered everyone wining most if not all the races. Made it to staniel to restock before Floatchella in Shroud!

Nice motor sail from Shroud down to Soldier Cay filled with unfinished Yahtzee and chess games. I guess that means I lost. It was a last minute call to make our way into Soldier instead of anchoring at Bell but I’m glad we squeezed through. The sand ripples in the area are so big that you’d swear you’re about to run aground. Makes you feel small seeing it from above

Really light wind sail to start the day but it picked up to a solid 15kts at the beam in the afternoon. You never get used to the water out here… surreal

Magenta line never looks like the right path but I’m real glad it is 🙌🏼. Near impossible to judge this route by site. Dark, dark patches on the bottom always have you thinking you’re headed for reef 🪸. Sticking around for about a week.
