With so much misinformation floating around, and so many SeaPeople users being regular Bahamas 🇧🇸 boaters. We wanted to get out some real facts about the big changes made to foreign boating permits and fees. Get the full details, as well as info about the new frequent boater digital card (allowing multiple return visits without clearing) in the SeaPeople Blog. 💬 Let us know in the comments how you feel about the changes. Does it change whether or not you are going back this year? SeaPeople co-founder Logan Rowell has had long chats with the Bahamas Minister of Tourism in recent weeks. About the balance of covering expenses the government carriers due to boaters’ presence (ex: dealing with trash, much of which is packaging from foreign bought food and drinks) vs the positive economic impact of boaters’ presence in the Islands. All considering the known needs for better fisheries management and patrol. Nothing is ever permanent, but one thing is certain: your voice can create change. So let us know how you’re feeling.

The OluKai - Anywhere Aloha challenge starts TODAY!!! For the next two weeks, SeaPeople and OluKai invite you to bring someone along for the ride. Whether it’s your partner, your pup, or someone new from the SeaPeople app, it’s time to track a trip together and show us what Aloha looks like… wherever you are. We’re super excited to partner with our friends over at OluKai (a brand dedicated to premium marine footwear) on this challenge. Another great company dedicated to supporting this community. Thanks 🙏 1. WHAT IS THE OluKai "Anywhere Aloha" CHALLENGE? For two weeks only, SeaPeople users are invited to take part in a global celebration of togetherness on the water.
